Jeeva Raksha means protecting the Life force. The fuel for our body, mind and intellect is this life force. It is like the petrol or diesel for a vehicle.
What does protecting the life force mean?
This body is made up of 5 elements such as earth, water, heat/fire air and atoms. Similar to this earth. When there is an imbalance in this 5 elements then disease arises. In macrocosm in the earth disasters arises.
In ayurveda these 5 elements are together divided into 3 doshas or 3 aspects. Vatha, Pitha and Kapha. When we are able to balance these 3 doshas, our life force becomes healthier and becomes more immune to diseases.
