The outcome of this course is a 3 minute practice that can be practiced everyday by anyone above age of 18, to keep their body healthy by protecting their life force. Jeeva Raksha course has been offered to in India, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Europe, US through various UPF centers across the world.
Principle of Jeeva Raksha
The foundation of Jeeva Raksha practice is Maha Bhandha. Here 3 bandhas or 3 locks are performed. The three bhandhas are Moola bhanda, Jalandhara Bhanda and Uddiyana Bhanda. The human body has 9 openings or Nava Dhwaras (Nine Chanel)
They are:
2 Eyes
2 Ears
2 Openings in Nostrils
1 Mouth
1 Anus
1 Urethra
THERE ARE 7 CHAKRAS IN THE BODY
1. Mooladharam (Root chakra or end of the spine),
2. Swadhishtanam (Lower abdomen or pelvic region),
3. Manipuraham (Navel region),
4. Anahatam (Chest region),
5. Vishuddhi (Neck region),
6. Agnya (Forehead centre)
7. Sahasraram (Top head).
During the fertilization process, the life forces present in the head of the sperm successfully pierces the Egg and an embryo is formed. In the womb, as the body develops around this embryo, this life force stays at the top head After a period of 10 months, when the baby is born, one notices the pulsation in the fontanelles. This life force present at the top of the heads slowly travels through the spinal cord and settles in the Mooladhara chakra during the span of approximately 12 years. The three principal nadis run from the base of the spine to the head. They are Idakala, Pinkala and Sushumna. Raising this Life force or this abundant energy with the grace of a Guru, again through the spinal cord towards the mid brain through the Sushumna is the fundamental aspect of Kundalini Yoga.
By raising this energy and experiencing it in the Mid brain, a human being benefits in the following 4 aspects.
1. Physical
2. Mental
3. Intellectual or Life force
4. Spiritual
The purpose of every yogic practice is to channelize these 4 aspects fundamentally by protecting and raising their life force to experience the True Self. Jeeva Raksha is one such practice that when practiced under a tutelage of a Enlightened Guru, one shall reap benefits of all these 4 aspects.
